A globe valve is a type of valve used for regulating flow in a pipeline, consisting of a movable plug or disc element and a stationary ring seat in a generally spherical body.
These are linear motion closing-down valves used to start, stop or regulate the flow using a closure member referred as a disc. The globe valve disk can completely close the flow path or can be removed entirely. The seat opening changes proportionately with the travel of the disc which is ideal for duties involving flow regulation. Globe valves are most suitable and widely used for throttling and controlling fluid flow and are generally employed in small size piping.
Forged steel FS globe valves are designed and manufactured as per BSEN ISO: 15761/ BSEN: 12266-1/ BS 5352 standards and tested as per BSEN: 12266-1/API -598/BS-5146 standards. FS globe valves are designed for handling very high pressures. The rigid and sturdy design of this valve coupled with its low-pressure application make it a very formidable model in the entire product line.
Cast steel globe valves are designed and manufactured as per BS: 1873 standards and tested as per BS: 6755-1 standards.
